Ministries and Community Engagement
Altar Servers – Come and serve during Divine Liturgy! Boys or girls, who preferably have completed their First Solemn Communion, please talk to Fr. André.
Children’s Liturgy — All pre-school and elementary school children are invited downstairs to the church auditorium after the Gospel reading (and a brief conversation with Fr. André) to learn more about their faith and grow in their love for Jesus, returning just prior to Communion. If you are interested in helping to facilitate these sessions, please contact Jennifer Clerke at 306-280-2942 or firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the facilitator schedule.
Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick – Bring Holy Communion and the presence of our Community to individuals who are unable to come to church because of illness or mobility issues. Training is provided. Talk to Fr. André for further details.
First Solemn Holy Communion — Preparation for children in our pastoral district who are in grade 2 this year is right around the corner! Parents or grandparents of such children should speak to Fr. André for further details or to register for the program. Parent-led preparation sessions run September-April. Parents or grandparents of such children should contact Andrea Abrametz at 306-222-4934 or Andrea.email@example.com for further details or to register for the program. 2017 Preparation sessions will begin in October.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) — Are you or someone you know interested in being baptized? Were you baptized in another Christian denomination but would like to become a Ukrainian Catholic? The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a process which will enable you to become a Catholic! Justice and Peace Committee — This committee is responsible for raising awareness in the parish to Social Justice concerns such as poverty, immigration and refugees, Development & Peace and other areas of social concern, as well as collecting and distributing donations from parishioners to a variety of community agencies. Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada (UCWLC) — This vibrant organization is open to all women in our pastoral district. In addition to monthly meetings, activities include Baking Paskas & Babkas, Varenyky/Pyrohy (Perogies) & Holubtsi (Cabbage roll) making, Christmas bake sale, Easter Tea & Bake Sale, Baking Holy Communion bread, Maintaining the Linens and Sanctuary of the church, Prayer Partners.
